The **Bark River Aurora A2 Natural Canvas Micarta** is a great bushcraft knife. Prototypes of the Aurora were extensively tested by bushcraft-experts in North America and Europe. Based on their feedback the Aurora was perfected. The result is a truly fantastic outdoor knife. The Bark River Aurora is perfectly balanced. The pointed tip is great for detailed tasks and the spine of the blade is perfect for a firesteel. 

The Bark River Aurora comes with a leather belt sheath. You can carry it either upright (belt width up to 5.5 cm) or diagonally (belt width up to 6.0 cm). The sheath also has a loop for a firesteel (max. diameter ~7.0 mm).

## Blade Bark River Aurora A2

The blade is made from A2 tool steel, A strong steel that would sooner bend rather than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. . ## Bark River Aurora A2 Natural Canvas Micarta handle

The handle is made from brown/green canvas micarta. Micarta is a strong and lightweight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. It feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold conditions. Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos. Therefore the knife you receive might be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
