The Bark River Ja-Nap is a large machete. While for most machetes the blade is not that thick, Bark River enhanced this Ja-Nap with a 5.6 mm thick blade! As such you do not only use the Ja-Nap as a machete, but also as an oversized survival knife. The handle is large to make sure you can hold in many different ways.
