The **Benchmade Junglebolo 153BK** is a large fixed knife. Call it an oversized survival knife, or a small machete: the fact is that this is a remarkably cool knife. You won't easily lose it because of its bright-orange handle. 

The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel. This is a tough type of carbon steel that is incredibly tough and easy to sharpen. You do have to compromise though: corrosion resistance. 1095 is not stainless and will therefore change colour, or even rust. Fortunately, Benchmade took this into account. The blade was namely enhanced with a matt coating. Do keep maintenance in account: as soon as the coating wears out due to use you will notice that rust can still affect these places. So clean it after use, and occasionally add a drop of oil!

The handle is made from Santoprene. Soft plastic that feels great in hand. The large hollow pin in the handle was designed as such that you can pull a paracord wrist strap through it. As you use the knife you put it around your wrist to make sure it won't shoot from your hand.

The knife comes with a leather belt sheath.
