## Böker Daily Knives AK1 Damasteel RWL 34 steel

The blade is made from RWL34 steel, made by Swedish company Damasteel. RWL-34 is known for its excellent sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. RWL34 is one of the two steels used in the damask knife steel: DS93X. It's a particularly successful product with great strength and toughness combined with extreme edge sharpness that is easy to maintain.

The handle is made from red Richlite. This is a composite material made from paper and synthetic resin. It's a strong, light-weight material. 

## Böker Daily Knives AK1 lanyard hole

A fun little detail is the reversible lanyard hole. What? Yes, really: a lanyard hole you can turn over to make it disappear. Underneath the scales, at the end of the handle, you will find an interchangeable part. This is where the lanyard eye is sticking out. If you remove the scales you will find that you can remove this part, and turn it over. This is how you remove the lanyard eye, for a cleaner look.

## Böker Daily Knives AK1 sheath

The knife comes with a high-quality leather sheath, equipped with an UltiClip. With this clip, you can attach the sheath to your pocket. This allows you to effortlessly pull out the AK1 while the sheath is reliably held in place by the Ulticlip. Handmade in the Böker factory in Solingen, Germany.
