The **Böker Golden Reuzel Razor axe 140542** is a top-quality straight razor. Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This *straight razor* is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany. Only 99 pieces of the Golden Reuzel Razor Axe were produced. For this edition the blade is enhanced with 24-carat gold. The 6/8" blade with round tip is user-friendly for all levels.

 This straight razor has an *extra hollow* grind with a *ridge*. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The *ridge* ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.

 The handle is made from ebony wood. The side has been enhanced with a large REUZEL logo. On the blade you will find an etching of the well-known Reuzel boar.

 ## Solingen 1.2210 carbon steel

  Böker selected the famous Solingen carbon steel for this straight razor. Although the technical number 1.2210 might not mean that much to most, the term *Solingen* has an excellent reputation worldwide. You could even say that a part of Solingen's reputation as a knife city is the result of the excellent steel quality. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.
