The **Böker Manufaktur Angel Delgadillo Route 66, Desert Ironwood 140225** is a top-quality straight razor. The blade height is only 7/8"". Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This straight razor is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany.

This razor is an homage to the 'Guardian Angel' of Route 66. A 90-year old barber from the sleepy city of Seligman in the American state of Arizona. This barber is known to be a cult icon on the 'Mother Road' as Route 66 is also called.

This straight razor has an extra hollow grind with a ridge. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The ridge ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.

The handle is made from stunning desert ironwood. On top of the blade, where the thumb is placed, fine ridges will give you extra grip. As such your hand won't slip while shaving. The handle is enhanced with the Route 66 logo. The spine of the blade is enhanced with an engraving of the words 'Angels Barber Shop'. The backspacer is made from micarta.

## Solingen 1.2210 carbon steel

Böker used carbon steel for this straight razor. Although the technical number 1.2210 might not mean that much to most, the term Solingen has an excellent reputation worldwide. You could even say that a part of Solingen's reputation as a knife city is the result of the excellent steel quality. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.
