Out of the box, hair popping sharp, fit and finish is second to none, the scales (handle) are finished beautifully, if you buy a knife like this you are starting to enter the realms of upper class knives. I am blown away with the performance in the field, bushcraft tasks are a joy, very quickly you see the difference between cheaper and more premium knives. I highly recommend.
