The Buck Open Season Small Game Knife is a compact fixed knife, ideal for skinning small game. The low weight makes it easy to carry around. The hollow ground blade is razor-sharp and makes working with this knife to pleasure. 



The Open Season Small Game Knife is very sturdy with its full-tang construction. This means that the steel of the blade extends through the whole handle. The back of the handle has a subtle hole for a lanyard.


The knife comes in a nylon belt sheath with plastic insert. This insert is removable so it can be easily cleaned.

Messer ist sehr gut ausbalanciert. Top-Design. Griffergonomie und Klingengeometrie sind ausgezeichnet. Für kleine und mittlere Hände geeignet, für grosse Hände zu klein.
Den Punktabzug gibts wegen dem unebenen Schliff. Da war wohl gleich Feierabend im Werk oder die Qualitätskontrolle wurde verschlampt. Ich werde das Messer nun selber schleifen und die Klinge auf Vordermann bringen.
Die Scheide ist wirklich funktional, sehr leicht und das Messer sitzt richtig fest. Leider nur für die Standarttrageweise am Gürtel ausgelegt und nicht Molle-kompatibel. Speziell gut hat mir der Riemen mit der Knopfdrucksicherung gefallen. Der ist so angebracht, dass man ihn nicht ständig mit der Klinge einschneidet, so hält die Scheide deutlich länger. Top-Design auch bei der Scheide. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
