The **CRKT Chehalem 6540** is a compact pocket knife, designed by Eric Ochs. For this design he was inspired by an old, used hammer. The surface of such a used tool tells a story. Exactly that fact was translated into the design of the Chehalem.

 When you look at the surface of the handle you immediately understand that it was inspired by a used hammer. Like the handle has been used for a couple of years the surface is enhanced with an outspoken texture. And yet this knife is brand-new! Ready to carry your own traces of use. The blade is short and pointed. You quickly open it with one hand with the oval thumb hole and a steel frame lock ensures that your fingers are safe. It is really clever that CRKT enhanced the knife with an 'overtravel stop'. With it you prevent the lock from overstretching and you make sure it will stay in great conditions for years to come.
