ESEE Lite Machete, nylon scheath

The ESEE Lite Machete is a carbon steel machete with a micarta handle. It has a blade length of 43.5 cm and it only weighs 500 grams which is impressive! The blade is relatively thin and pretty flexible. For a machete it is delivered really sharp. A Rockwell hardness of 50-52 HRC makes sure this knife is flexible enough not to break during chopping. Nevertheless, because of the thin blade ESEE recommends using a batoning-stick (piece of wood hit the back of the back with). They also advise never to pry with the it. The blade of the ESEE Lite Machete is made in El Salvador and the handle is made in the United States where both are put together.
