The choice of stamina wood for the scales for designer orientated clasp knife,would not be my first choice-my choice would be staghorn,however the effect is pleasing to the eye.double rounded brass bolsters are along with brass linings and the rounded profile of the overall shape of the handle-the classic languiole endorsed by Napoleon is very tactile.T12 polished stainless steel blade specifically made by FORGE DE LAGUIOLE is of a good quality to keep its edge.The mouche bee/fly on the spring is welded and not cast as part of it-pity.Nail nick in the blade is small and deep in proportion to the overall shape and size. polished guilloche pattern on the spring and the designers name are basic. laguiole knife and presentation box made to a overall average standard and for its price about right.
