KA-BAR 1317 fixed blade

This KA-BAR 1317 is based on the legendary KA-BAR 1217 USMC knife. In 1942 this knife was used by the United States Marine Corps as a standard fighting knife for the marines. With this knife KA-BAR offers an alternative for the military-oriented 1217 knife. It is great for hunting, camping and bushcraft purposes. The knife is big and feels very strong. The handle is enhanced with protective parts to make sure you will never end up on the razor-sharp edge during heavy-duty use. The back of the handle is enhanced with a practical storage ring. The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. The included leather sheath offers you a comfortable and safe way of carrying the knife.
