The **Medford M-48** is an homage to the American M-48 Patton combat tank from the 50s. The handle is enhanced with a milled pattern that matches the tracks of this tank. Greg Medford designed the M-48 as an EDC knife. Suited for both first responders and Medford enthusiasts who prefer a slim pocket knife. 100% made in the United States, from American materials, by a veteran-run company. 

The CPM S35VN steel blade is enhanced with a hollow grind that was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. Medford, however, took it one step further by enhancing the knife with their new Magnus Edged Tip technology. A grind where you don't take away too much material at the tip. The result is a rock-solid tip, despite the slim blade.

CPM S35VN is a premium, stainless type of steel. For years this has been one of the most popular types of steel on the market. It is, for stainless steel, rather tough and relatively easy to sharpen.

You can easily open the blade with the flipper. When opened a solid framelock keeps the blade in place. The handle is enhanced with an overtravel stop that prevents you from pushing the framelock out too far. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

This version is enhanced with a red-coloured anodized aluminium handle. The hardware (screws and pocket clip) are enhanced with a PVD coating. At the end of the handle you will find a deep-carry pocket clip. The clip can also be converted for left-handed use. A feature you don't often see on a Medford knife.

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are available on our website are in stock and can immediately be shipped. Be there in time: it might take a while for new stock to arrive!
