This stone uses resin to bind the abrasives, in this case white aluminum oxide.  

It does not soak up water and therefore does not require frequent wetting. Super Stones wear slowly and maintain a constant sharpening effect.  

  
  


Splash with water before and during sharpening, do not soak or store in water.

Grundsätzlich habe ich mit dem 400ter Naniwa genau das erhalten was ich als Schruppstein gesucht habe. Er hat einen super Abtrag und eine mittelharte bis harte Bindung. Das Schleifbild kann sich ebenfalls sehen lassen. Leider gefällt mir das Preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Ich hätte besser den selben Stein auf einem Sockel gekauft. Grund hierfür ist die höhe des Steines. 10mm verbraucht sich für mich zuschnell und für ein wenig mehr Geld, gibt es den Stein auf einem Sockel in einer stärke von 20 mm. Dann würde ich ihn auch mit einer vollen Punktzahl uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und bewerten.
