This **Nitecore DL20 diving torch** is made for underwater use. More specifically: it's made to be used for scuba diving or underwater photography. The diving light has an IPX8 rating, which allows it to be submerged up to 100 metres underwater without any problems.

## Nitecore DL20: white LED and red LEDs

The Nitecore DL20 has a white CREE XP-L HI V3 LED, integrated *Crystal Coating Technology* and *Precision Digital Optics Technology*. The result is an impressive light output of 1000 lumens and a range of 223 metres. Those figures are above water, of course: these are a bit lower underwater. However, that white LED isn't the only LED on the DL20. There are also 10 red LEDs around this LED. By using these LEDs in combination with the white LED, colours are depicted more faithfully and with greater contrast. These details make a real difference for underwater photography.

## Nitecore DL20: also easy to use underwater

The Nitecore DL20 is super easy to use. There are two switches on the side of the torch. The top switch is for the white light, the bottom one for the red light. Each variant has two modes to choose from: the modes for the white LED are high (1000 lumens) and low (385 lumens), while the modes for the red LEDs are high (115 lumens) and low (55 lumens). Keep both buttons pressed for a while longer to turn on the strobe function. There are several battery options for the Nitecore DL20. The torch can run either on one 18650 battery or two CR123s.
