The **Nitecore NL2142THPI** is a powerful rechargeable 21700 battery with a power of 4200mAh. This battery was specifically designed to function at low temperatures, even up to -40°C! At -40°C it will maintain approx. 76% of its capacity. This battery is therefore ideal for use in cold climates with devices that are suitable for 21700 batteries, such as flashlights. 

**Please note: a 21700 battery does not replace the 18650 battery. This battery can only be used in various flashlights that were specifically designed for this type.**

The Nitecore NL2142THPI is enhanced with a protective circuit (PCB/IC-security) against short circuiting, overcharging and total discharging. It can be used with the following Nitecore chargers:

## Tip for using the Nitecore NL2142THPI

Some people say: 'I take great care of my batteries, I hardly charge them!' In case of Lithium Iion batteries this is not a good thing. These batteries will last a whole lot longer if you charge them on a regular basis. A 21700 battery is two times as powerful as a regular 18650/2300mAh battery.
