The **Nitecore UT27** is an incredibly versatile head torch with a powerful beam of up to 520 lumens. It only weighs 74 grams and is suited for the most diverse situations. From running to professional use. It was developed in cooperation with trail runners to make sure it matches their needs and desires. That is why the UT27 is incredibly lightweight and enhanced with a floodlight mode (for up close), a spotlight (for far away) and a red beam. 

The flood and spotlight can be controlled independently with the buttons on top of the head torch. The Lockout Mode ensures that you don't accidentally turn the light on or off in your bag or pocket. You can tilt the head of the light at a 90-degree angle. It is also dust and waterproof and will survive a fall of up to 1 metres. The headband is enhanced with a silicone strip. As such moisture and sweat is drained and it ensures that the UT27 firmly stays in place. The reflective strips on the band ensure that you are visible in the dark. Better safe than sorry. The included storage bag is not only practical when storing the light, it also turns the UT27 into a camping light with soft ambient light. 

## Charging the Nitecore UT27 head torch

The Nitecore UT27 works with one HLB1300 Li-ion battery (included). You charge it via the USB-C port on the battery. A green light tells you when the battery is fully charged. This head torch can also be used with three AAA batteries. The insides of the battery holder are enhanced with glow in the dark material. As such switching batteries in the dark will be a piece of cake.

  * Spotlight Low: 100 lumens, average burn time of approx. 10 hours
  * Floodlight High: 200 lumens, average burn time of approx. 8 hours
  * Floodlight Low: 55 lumens, average burn time of approx. 13 hours
  * Red light constant: 16 lumens, average burn time of approx. 6 hours
  * Red light flashing: 16 lumens, average burn time of approx. 60 hours

Mooi ding. Handig dat hij met USB-C oplaadt (waarom wordt micro usb eigenlijk nog gebruikt) en handig dat de accu vervangen kan worden voor 3 AAA batterijtjes. De bediening werkt eenvoudig en heb je snel in de vingers. 
Enige nadeel voor mij is dat de lamp zelfs in de laagste stand vrij veel licht geeft, meer dan ik prettig vind om bijvoorbeeld een boek bij te lezen.
