The **Real Steel Bushcraft II Scandi** is a robust bushcraft knife for an amazing price. Real Steel used subtle forms. No unnecessary frills: a simple and good knife.


This version of the Real Steel Bushcraft II has a scandi-grind blade. Amongst bushcrafters that is a popular grind because it excels at wood work. In addition, this scandi grind can easily be sharpened.


In terms of steel Real Steel chose D2-steel. A tough and decent type of steel that retains its sharpness well, won’t easily break and can be sharpened. Do, however, pay attention around salt, acids and moisture: D2 isn’t completely stainless. We, however, believe this barely weighs up to the benefits of this tough type of steel. The spine of the blade is relatively sharp around the edges. As a result you can easily prepare tinder or use a firesteel.


The handle is made from G10. Because of the texture of the G10 you have enough grip and the shape of the handle is made as such that you can use it for longer periods of time. Because the handle is only slightly square it won’t roll from your hand. The basis shape, however, is fairly round. As a result you won’t be bothered by ‘hot spots’ during long-term use. In between the handle and the tang of the blade Real Steel has placed red liners that make the knife look extra special.


With an outdoor knife such as this one the way you carry it is just as important. For that reason Real Steel has included a sleek kydex sheath. The included belt clip can be attached the way you prefer it. Ultimate freedom.
