The Reate Tribute is a cool pocket knife, designed by Jack Chen. With a 7 cm blade it is relatively compact and 85 grams is a great weight for a pocket knife. As such you hardly notice it in your pocket. And yet it is a very cool pocket knife, with the excellent quality and finish Reate is known for.

Expectations

Fit, finish, overall quality are perfect. But! It offers only one opening method. May be this is my sample only — the blade retention is kind of strong. You need a rather deliberate force application to make it open. Perhaps, it needs to be broken in, I don’t know.
