The Sakai Takayuki damask knives are easy to recognize because of their beautiful damask steel blade. The knives feature 45 layers of hammered damask and have a hard core of Swedish steel. The hammered top of the blade prevents food from sticking to the blade. You can very well compare it to the granton edge on some Western chef's knives.
