This is the replacement blade for the **Silky Gomtaro Nidangiri**. With a large flat-blade screwdriver you can easily replace the blade.


This Gomtaro Nidangiri is designed for a specific sawing technique in tree care. After all, you can use the serrations on the spine to saw through the bottom of a branch in order to cut through it at once from the top.


Not only is this better for the tree as a neat saw wound heals better, it is also better for the user. After all, you won’t have to twist your wrist with every branch to saw the bottom of the branch.


 A Silky saw blade is very thin and hard. As a result it is amazing to work with. However, when you use it you need to pay extra attention to the blade. Why?  If a Silky saw has been adorned with an impulse hardening symbol it means that the saw has been impulse hardened and that it cannot be sharpened with a file. You can see that the saw has been impulse hardened when you look at the blade and see that the tips of the serrations are black.


The Silky blade needs to be kept clean to make sure it stays in great shape. Resin dissolves when it comes into contact with olive oil which makes it an effective, environmentally-friendly product you can use to clean the blade. Please note: aggressive detergents can damage the rubber handle.


When you don’t use the saw you should put it in its storage case and store it somewhere dry.
