Grossartiges Messer für den speziellen Anspruch. Zum täglichen gebrauch als taschenmesser sicherlich nicht die erste wahl, aber für den gedachten Einsatzzweck absolut zu empfehlen.der Glasbrecher funktioniert einwandfrei, gurte und seile schneiden sich quasi im vorbeigehen.


De assist I blijkt een prima mes te zijn voor gebruik tijdens o.a. brandweer of reddingswerkzaamheden. Veel messen met eenzelfde predikaat blijken in praktijk toch te klein te zijn of juist te groot, zoals een vast mes.

Het mes is aangenaam licht en ligt vertrouwenswekkend goed in de hand, ook met zwaardere handschoenen is het door de "cobra hood" gemakkelijk te openen. Ook de grip is zeer goed. 

De assist I kan tijdens technische of reddingswerkzaamheden b.v. in een borstzak of aan een riem/koppel worden vastgeclipt.

De Assist I is zeer scherp geleverd en is daarom zonder bijslijpen prima voor het doorknippen (zie beschrijving) of doorzagen van materialen, zoals touw, draad, gordels, slangen, plastics etc. Door de stompe voorkant is er minder gevaar voor verwonding. De assist I is immers een reddingsmes en geen steekwapen.

Voor werkzaamheden in het donker had de Assist naar mijn idee ook met een lichtgevend heft kunnen worden uitrust. Hiervoor is echter niet gekozen.

Een aantal reddingsmesssen heb ik reeds geprobeerd, waarbij de Assist I naar mening de allround winnaar is!!

Ik gebruik het mes beroepsmatig mbt het werken op hoogte.
Het met 1 hand openen van het mes is noodzakelijk. Doordat het mes geen punt heeft, maar voor de rest erg scherp, is hij goed te gebruiken om bijvoorbeeld in noodsituaties een klimgordel of touw weg te snijden. 

Echt een topmes, ideaal is de afgeronde punt. Zo hoef je minder op te letten of je iets of iemand steekt tijdens het zwaardere werk. Tijdens mn werk heb ik dit mes altijd bij me, net zoals tijdens lange auto ritten. Ik hoop het nooit nodig te hebben in noodsituaties, maar je kan maar beter goed uitgerust zijn. Dit mes kan echt levens redden! Zeker een aanrader dus.
