The **Spyderco Darn Dao** is the second Spyderco pocket knife produced in a *Flash Batch*. A unique and one-time edition of this model. Limited to 1200 pieces and individually numbered on the blade.


The Spyderco Darn Dao was designed by Bob Lum, a world famous knife maker and designer. The Darn Dao is Bob Lums modern version of the legendary Chinese Dao, a single-edge broadsword. This type of sword is often found in Chinese martial arts and is mostly known for its characterizing shape. It is therefore not that surprising that the design of the Darn Dao might look familiar. The Chinese Dao is often used in movies and is therefore a real movie star!


The 27 cm blade is made from CPM 154 steel and has a full-flat grind with a stunning satin finish. The G10 handle is nicely polished and feels comfortable in hand because of the curves. The Darn Dao has a tapered construction. This means that the steel is tapered towards the end of the handle. The advantage? The solidity of a full-tang construction, but a lot lighter. A sleek swedge on top of the blade completes the overall look and feel.


Befitting for such a limited and exclusive edition, the Spyderco Darn Dao comes in a luxurious storage case with a stunning leather sheath to make sure you can carry the knife on a belt.
