The **Spyderco Karahawk** is a cool karambit, designed by Sal Glesser. The Karahawk combines the characteristic features of a karambit with the Emerson Wave Opener and the Spyderco thumb hole. As such there are many ways of opening the knife. The result is that you can quickly start whatever task you were planning to carry out with the knife.

 The handle is made from G10. It is a light-weight, fibreglass-reinforced material. Incredibly strong and it offers you a lot of grip. The blade is made from VG10. A Japanese type of steel that retains its sharpness well but is also easy to sharpen.

 A karambit is normally held in a slightly different way than a normal pocket knife. You put your index finger through the large ring and wrap your finger around the handle with the edge facing forwards. As such you have a very solid grip.

 You can quickly open the Karahawk with the thumb hole, or with the Emerson Wave Opening Feature. With it you slightly pull the knife back when you take it from your pocket. As such the *Wave* gets caught behind your pocket and the knife will automatically open.
