The **TOPS Knives American Trailer Maker** is a remarkable outdoor knife, designed by Jason Breedon. He meant this knife to be an all-round outdoor tool. To be used as a robust survival knife, but also as a small axe for heavy-duty chopping work. Everyone who regularly goes out into the wild understands the use of the ATM.


At TOPS strength and solidity are key. As a result the TOPS Knives American Trail Maker is made from 1095 carbon steel. A robust type of steel that can handle its own. At the same time it is also easy to sharpen to make sure you can maintain it out in the field. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the fact that 1095 carbon steel is not stainless. So be careful when you come into contact with moisture, salt and acids. Although the matt-black traction coating also helps with this.


The handle is made from micarta. A solid material made from linen and synthetic resin. If offers you enough grip even in wet circumstances. The micarta fibres namely inflate a bit for a little additional grip.


The TOPS ATM comes with a solid kydex sheath with rotatable steel belt clip. To make sure the heavy knife doesn't fall from the sheath TOPS has enhanced it with a solid retention system. Two protruding pins on both sides of the blade give the sheath the necessary grip. This does, however, mean that at first taking the knife from the sheath takes some getting used to. You need to pull it down a little. Otherwise you can't easily remove it from the sheath.
