The **WE Knife Double Helix 815** is a very special pocket knife, designed and made by WE Knife. At first glance, you can already tell that this is a fantastic knife. But you need to experience for yourself that those decorations on the outside also serve a purpose. Meet the Double Helix.



The name already reveals the highlight of this knife. You can find the spiral-like double helix shape at the end of both sides of the handle. Not only do these look great, but they're actually functional too. They control the opening and closing of this knife.



Here's how it works: when open or when closed, the Double Helix is held in place by a catch that falls into the back of the blade. This catch is sprung because of those two helix shapes. To open it, you pull that catch back and bend the titanium rod of the Helix. To close it, you do exactly the same thing. The perfectly aligned ball bearings do the rest.



Due to this extra mechanism, the titanium handle is somewhat thicker than you'd expect from a knife of this size. Fortunately, this gives you a brilliant amount of grip. The knife is also a lot safer from little grabbing hands, because the knife can't be opened without unlocking the Helix lock. This means it will never open unintentionally.



Besides this revolutionary double helix mechanism, this knife is also still a true WE Knife. The blade is made from a premium steel, CPM S35VN, and the overall finish is superb.
