The **Benchmade Presidio II** is a large pocket knife, designed for the more demanding tasks. Large blade, substantial handle, optimal ergonomics: this pocket knife inspires confidence. The blade is made from CPM S30V steel. An American metallurgical type of powder steel. Sounds difficult, but it is important for you to know that this is high-tech steel with excellent properties for a pocket knife. Good sharpness retention, excellent rust resistance and pretty good to sharpen yourself.

 The handle is made from CF-Elite, instead of aluminium which we saw on the previous versions. CF-Elite is a relatively new handle material comprised of polymer reinforced with carbon fibre. A rock-solid material that was originally used in the car and aviation industry. CF-Elite weighs next to nothing. This version of the Presidio II is lighter than its predecessors. The grooves in the sides offer you enough grip. You open the Presidio II with the thumb stud. A solid Axis lock will keep the blade in place.

 With the Presidio II Benchmade is targeting people who actually use their knife. Think of soldiers, cops and the fire department. People who need to be able to rely on their knife. Just like you!

Ik ben altijd een Spyderco fan geweest. Echter kan ik zeggen dat Benchmade zeker hun gelijken zijn. De presidio is best te beschrijven als een zeer verfijnd beest. Het is een zeer goede slicer en fit en finish is gwn top! 
Hij ligt zeer aangenaam in de hand en de cf elite voelt en ziet er echt veel beter uit dan eender welke kunstof bij eender welk merk. 
Hij is uitermate stevig en het S30V lemmet heeft niet alleen goede grind maar ook een zeer goede hittebehandeling gekregen waardoor hij zeker naast S30V spyderco's mag liggen kwa edgeholding. 

Naast de presidio was natuurlijk de service van K&T weer perfect zoals altijd! 

Fantastisch mes. Mijn eerste Benchmade en zeker niet de laatste. Super kwaliteit. Ik gebruik dit mes voor mijn werk en het werkt perfect. Blijft ook heel lang scherp. Echt het geld waard.

Very solid knife. Not lightweight, but definitively robust enough for performing heavy duties. 



Out of the Box mit tadelloser Phase  17°, hat es den Schnitt-Test mit Bravur bestanden. Der Axis-Lock rastet mit einem angenehm "Klack" satt ein. Die Klinge ist exakt zentriert und der Klingenlauf butterweich.
Die CF Griffschalen sind sauber verarbeitet, gut strukturiert und schön griffig ohne aggressiv zu sein. Ob mit oder ohne Handschuh bieten sie einen super Halt und die Größe ist für mich (Handschuhe Gr. 10) optimal. 
Die Größe (Griff ca. 13cm und gesamt ca. 22cm) eignet sich tatsächlich noch gut als edc, da es weder vom Gewicht her, noch von der Struktur der Griffschalen, in der Hosentasche stört und mit dem deep carry Clip nicht auffällt. Alles in allem bin ich bis jetzt begeistert.

Nice knife, but very hard to break in. coating on lock-pin made it very sticky. After it broke in, it is very nice. Wish it had S35VN and not S30V
