The Buck 501 Squire is a beautifully executed gentlemen's blade. It is very reminiscent of the characteristic Buck 110 Hunter model, but a compact version of it. In terms of size it is just a bit bigger than the Buck 503 Prince. The rosewood handles give the knife a stylish appearance. The construction and the blade feel solid. The steel of the blade 420HC-ensures easy sharpening.

Les dimensions du couteau me convienne mais les finitions ne sont pas là, léger jeux latéral dans la lame, le ressort n'est pas au niveau des mitres à l'avant et à l'arrière quand la lame est fermé (problème de réglage ?). Je trouve le couteau trop chère pour ce qu'il est.

Ik zocht een "every-day carry" mes, gewoon een mes wat je in je broekzak stopt en bij je hebt, Ik heb er een paar gekocht maar deze is het prettigst.
De 55 is net te klein en de 112 is meteen een heel stuk zwaarder en vooral een heel stuk dikker (ongeveer 2x zo dik)
Van al mijn Buck's vind ik deze het mooist afgewerkt. De overgang van het houtwerk naar het metaal is erg mooi. Als enige minpuntje: het lemmet is minder glad geslepen als bij mijn andere Buck messen

Gewoon een mooi gemaakt degelijk herenmesje. Mesje, want groot is de 501 niet. Eigenlijk een prima maat
Voor de meest voorkomende kleine klusjes. Komt niet agressief over en verdwijnt in de broekzak. Vanzelf vlijmscherp geleverd want dat is typisch Buck. 

Zocht naar een klassiek zakmes die groot genoeg was om er iets mee te kunnen maar klein en plat genoeg dat hij in je broekzak verdwijnt. Buck 501 is de perfecte match. Erg mooi, stevig en kwalitatief zakmes. Het mes heeft ook een blokkering wanneer deze geopend is, dat was voor mij de doorslag. Enorm tevreden en kan hem iedereen aanraden.
