This cleaver is a good fit for my hand which is small. My husband has bigger hands and is also happy with the fit. I use it to cut up meaty bones for my dogs. Before I got it I had an awful job cutting pieces to size but now I find the job quite easy

very good cleaver, heavy and will get through anything very well made.

Great weight, very solid, no messing cuting through Bone.

The cleaver was great, I also had engraving which also looks great. Just be wary that if your writing goes close to the edge of the box then unfortunately part of the first and last letter may get cut off... even if it shows as full on the website

When using a cleaver you need 3 things in particular: 1. Weight, to enable momentum to support penetration through bone, gristle, and cartilage. 2. A blade that will not chip or buckle. 3. Security, a well attached handle that is easy to grip and will not slip from grip. The Wüsthof Classic Cleaver has all three qualities, plus a sharp edge.

Love this cleaver. I'm an older, smallish woman, so not very strong. After a long and very helpful conversation with Knives & Tools, I settled on this cleaver as being a good weight for my purpose of chopping chicken bones, and it's good value for money. This has a good grippy handle and a solid weight balance to give those bones a good smack without needing too much force. Haven't needed to sharpen yet, so can't vouch for that, but so far I really enjoy using it. (That sounds creepy - it's really not, though!). It's early days, but so far I would recommend it.

It is great kitchen tool, but since I love perfection, for the products which are called "the highest quality" I am not happy with the logo on it.It is printed like a sticker. It looks...cheap and I would not expect that from such a product and a German producer with so many years in the business.
