This is more of a toy or a weapon than a tool in my opinion. If you want to make a spear then it’s great but if you’re doing survival or bushcraft then it’s not much use. It can’t carve well because the blade starts too far away from the handle. It’s too thin to be a good splitter and the hollow grind makes it not very good for cutting wood. It’s more fun than it is useful.

What not to love about SK-5? Probably my favourite carbon steel. Here's a big chunk of it, presented in a well balanced and versatile design by Cold Steel. I wrapped a sports tape on the handle for extra grip, touched the edge for a hair cutting sharpness (although it came reasonable sharp, I live my knives scarry sharp) and this bad boy is good to go. Sheath and firesteel not top quality, but at this price range definitely good enough. All in all, great tool to ad for the collection.
