The **DMT Mini diamond-coated sharpening stone coarse, fine and extra-fine, W7EFC** is a set of three small sharpening stones. Because of their size they are easy to take with you in your pocket or backpack. The coarse grain is perfect when sharpening a blunt knife. The fine grain is great to make sure your knife will be very sharp again and you use the extra-fine sharpening stone for razor-sharp results.

## Information about the grain sizes of DMT sharpening stones.


The grain size of a diamond-coated stone and a sharpening stone cannot easily be compared. This is because the construction and materials used are substantially different. With a sharpening stone, the grains are incorporated in the stone. The grains are released during the sharpening process, creating a kind of sharpening paste. With a diamond-coated stone, the diamonds are secured in the surface of the stone.


## Good to know


You can use the DMT sharpening stones with or without water. The advantage of sharpening with water is that the stone is lubricated and the sharpening residue is removed. Never use oil, always water. It is also good to know that a diamond-coated sharpening stone must be sharpened as well. A new sharping stone removes quite a lot of material. Only after 5 to 10 knives does the stone have its final effect.

Très bonne petite pierre a transporter partout. Avec les 3 pierres sont parfaites pour retrouver un tranchant, ou même entretenir sont tranchant. Seul bémol j'aurais préféré une petite boîte de rangement plutôt qu'une pochette plastique, pour les glisse plus facilement dans un sac ou sacoches.
