The **Fällkniven F1 F1nz Pilot Survial Knife** is a top-quality survival knife, specifically designed for pilots from the Swedish air force. It took 8 years to develop this model. The result of many tests and changing the design is an advanced, well thought-out and safe knife which combines strength with a modern design. The Fällkniven F1 is versatile and can be used while hunting, camping or during trekking or survival adventures.

## Fällkniven F1nz blade

The blade is made from, the in 2022 introduced, VGWolf steel. An upgraded version of the previous VG10W steel. VGWolf has a high concentration of tungsten (1.25%) The result is a better sharpness retention and the steel is a little tougher. The steel is laminated in between two layers of softer steel. As such, the F1 retains its sharpness well, while at the same time it is a lot tougher than with a mono-steel construction.

The edge of the Fällkniven F1 is enhanced with a convex grind. This means that the blade is curved towards the edge. The result is an incredibly strong and sharp edge. To maintain this edge we recommend stropping it in time.

## Fällkniven F1nz handle

The handle is made from Thermorun. This is a rubber-like plastic that offers you enough grip. The fact that Fällkniven took the arctic climate of Sweden into account is clear when you look at the construction of the handle. The tang of the blade, the steel part that is located in the handle, is wrapped in Thermorun. As a result your hands won't freeze to the knife in very low temperatures. Even in the heat this works well because your hands won't burn if the knife was left in the sun for a while. So very well-thought-out.

This version of the F1 comes with a nice Zytel sheath. The two-stage locking mechanism is a new feature. There's no strap around the handle like with previous A1 sheaths. The Zytel sheath has a sleek look with an opening at the bottom for drainage.

Un imprescindible para la colección. Nada especial a simple vista, ligero compacto y hará lo que se le pida en una situación de emergencia.

"WOW"  what a lovely knife, beautifully made with excellent QC from Fallkniven. Can't find single thing to mark this knife negatively. Razor sharp with a perfect mirrored grind and a excellent practical sheath with locking mechanism. K&T sell this knife cheaper than the competition by £35/£45 which is a massive saving. I have XL hands and it's lovely to use for wood processing & food prep etc. I have recently started buying Fallkniven after buying a F1X and S1X and was very impressed so started collecting to add to my 80+ purchased knives. Really happy with the F1 and K&T are spot on for me every time so i use them a good amount when purchasing.
Fallkniven are top knives with amazing QC but a little more expensive at times but you get what you pay for I guess👍.



Prachtig mes, hoge kwaliteit en functionaliteit voor een scherpe prijs. Slimme schede met mogelijkheid tot vergrendeling. Snel geleverd, zoals altijd is de service bij Knives and Tools super!

Zoals verwacht kwam het mes puntgaaf en super scherp uit de verpakking. Verder houdt het vast (past het) alsof het speciaal voor mijn hand gemaakt is. Het zit ook muurvast in de schede dankzij de nieuwe borging. Nu afwachten hoe het staal zich in de tijd houdt. 

Naar meerdere keren dit mes te hebben besteld, toch maar even met knives and tools contact overgehad.
Het symmetrie van de lemmet waren meerdere keren slecht uitgemeten.(zo slecht zelfs dat het zachte buitenkant staal in de snede zelf zat!)
Maar goed knives and tools(top service!) hebben een uitgezocht die wel voldeed nu  ben ik wel tevreden, alleen in vindt dat de kwaliteit controle van fallkniven wel wat tewensen overlaat...naar een mail naar hun gestuurd te hebben daarover  kreeg ik 0 reactie 
Moet wel zeggen ik heb ook de vg10 staal en lam cos gehad, en nu dus in vgwolf over staal soort ben ik wel zeer tevreden.
