The **Hultafors HVK Craftsman’s Knife 380010** is a fixed knife for craftsmen. It's a straightforward, no-nonsense knife. No frills, no fuss. It's great for sharpening pencils, opening packaging, and many other tasks you encounter every day. The Hultafors HVK also comes in handy as a budget bushcraft knife.



The blade is made from Japanese carbon steel. This is a sturdy steel that is easy to sharpen. It isn't stainless, though, so take care around moisture and acids. The handle is made from polypropylene. This is a durable plastic that will last for years and years.



The knife comes with a handy sheath so you can carry it on a belt up to 4 cm wide. You can also hang it from a button on your overalls. To do this, unclip the belt loop, slide the button in and then click it into place. Very practical!

Goede grip, sterk en stevig. Goed scherp en ook prima scherp te houden. Meet zich makkelijk met veel duurdere messen.

Coltellino economico e per il prezzo ci sta. Il fodero invece è davvero assurdo. Si aggancia alla cintura al contrario di come dovrebbe e come viene giustamente fatto con i coltellini  Mora. Davvero assurdo il fodero. Non è questione di essere economico, ma proprio di come è disegnato!

L'ergonomie du manche est top!
L'affûtage n'est pas exactement scandinave mais se rattrapera assez vite.
Donne facilement un tranchant excellent.
Seul bémol, l'étui ne permet pas le port sur une ceinture en cuir, parfait pour une ceinture style tactique en nylon cependant.

I ordered a number of these knives for a workshop where they were heavily abused. The knives where semi-sharp out of the box and held that edge wel. They are great value for money however to save myself some time sharpening I will go for the morakniven next time. If you only have one knife to sharp unlike me, I would definitely recommend this knife. Or if you don't want to abuse your high-end knife for certain tasks, this one is a must have.
