With this **Kindling Cracker King** you can safely split wood without needing a splitting axe. You place the wood inside the Kindling Cracker, beat it with a hammer, and you end up with perfectly split wood! You don’t have to swing around a dangerous splitting axe, your back stays straight and you can precisely place the wood. The ring at the top has a diameter of 17 cm.

## Use and maintenance
The Kindling Cracker has room for logs of wood that are usually not very stable. Larger logs are easy to split with a splitting axe, but dangerous situations occur when you split smaller pieces of wood that can easily fall over. That is when the Kindling Cracker is a much safer option! It works best if you use logs with as few knots as possible. You can use the Kindling Cracker inside our outside, but do make sure the surface it stands on can handle a lot. Inside it is, for instance, best if you place it on a wooden block.

The Kindling Cracker is made from cast iron and doesn’t need a lot in terms of maintenance. Do keep in mind that cast iron can rust. Fortunately, you can protect the Kindling Cracker from rust with beeswax. Or rub it down occasionally with a steel brush and give it a new coat of paint. The blade does not have to be razor-sharp to easily split wood, but you can sharpen it. You can do so with a metal file.

Great product, not cheap but does the work and helps me a lot. For a small stove I have in the office, I need pieces of wood which are not too thick. This cracker allows me to prepare them really quickly. 

Dit gaat echt zo veel makkelijker dan ik adhv youtube filmpjes had verwacht! 

Schitterend product, werkt uitstekend en voldoet volledig aan de verwachtingen.  Spijtig dat ik dit nog eerder had ontdekt.
