*'Let's do it again! But bigger! Better! Mooooarrr!'*, as Ben Petersen from Knafs says. And he's not wrong! The **Knafs Lander 2** is the larger, upgraded version of the Lander 1. Made in collaboration with Kizer Knives. The Lander 2 features some major upgrades like the steel and Clutch-Lock system.

Of course, the Lander 2 retains the features that made the Lander 1 so popular, for example, the easy-to-swap scales. This is possible without having to take the entire knife apart. You only need to remove the scales. Not only is this nice for knife maintenance reasons, it's also super easy to change the scales for separately sold ones.

## CPM S35VN blade

Knafs listened to feedback from the community before designing the Lander 2. For those who found the Lander 1 to be a bit on the small side, the Lander 2 is a dream come true. The blade is 1 cm longer than the blade of the Lander 1. In addition, the steel type of the Lander 2 is a bit higher quality than that of its predecessor: CPM S35VN steel. This is a great powder steel with excellent sharpness retention.

## Clutch Lock mechanism

The linerlock has been replaced by a Clutch Lock. This is Kizer's version of the well-known Crossbar-Lock. A great, symmetrical mechanism we've seen before on Benchmade knives. It is easy to use by both left and right-handed users. A cool feature about the Clutch-Lock is that you can adjust the strength of the spring yourself. When you remove the scales, you will see five adjustment holes in the steel liners. By moving the end of the spring further or closer to the Clutch-Lock, you adjust the strength of the locking mechanism.

## Interchangeable G10 scales

The interchangeable scales are made from G10. This is a solid composite material made from glass fibres and synthetic resin. Nicely lightweight and the subtle texture offers great grip.

## About Knafs

The name Knafs might sound a bit strange. But it is basically a different way of saying 'knives'. When you mispronounce the word you often hear 'knifes'. Add a southern accent and 'knifes' soon turns into knafs. Hence the name! You might know Ben Petersen, the owner of Knafs, as the designer of the WE Knife Banter and Civivi Baby Banter. And now he also has his own brand. Knafs!

La forme de la lame de me conviens pas du tout et la prise en main moyenne... 

Schönes Messer, gut verarbeitet. Normal scharf. Optionale Griffschalen (sehr teuer) erhältlich. Hoher Spielfaktor. Preis/Leistung eher unterdurchschnittlich. Würde ich trotzdem (im Sale) wieder kaufen. 

Wem das Benchmade Bugout zu leicht und zu schlank ist, der findet im Lander 2 die perfekte Alternative. Materialien, Fertigung, Design: alles top. Zahlreiche Ersatzgriffschalen bieten für jeden Geschmack etwas. Wer eine 3D Drucker besitzt, kann sich mit den (gratis) Vorlagen von der Knafs-website sogar selbst Griffschalen drucken.

L' ouverture super agréable !

Rien à dire sur la qualité générale du couteau en revanche, à peine un mois que je l'ai et il est rester dans ma poche sans jamais être utilisé et la peinture bleue du manche s'écaille. Je suis déçu par rapport au prix. Et je ne peux plus bénéficier de la garantie à 3 jours près !!!
