I love these knives. I've had a No. 8 for about 14 years and have used it for any number of things: cutting meat, wood, electrical work, cutting plasterboard. I've abused it frankly over the years but it still probably has years left in it. I'm going to look after my No.10 better. I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet but I already love it. It is solid, extremely well made and I don't believe you can buy a better knife for the money. I also have a No.12 in stainless and that is also a beauty. I've used it a lot in the kitchen and in 12 months I think I've sharpened it maybe twice.

A classic yet simple design. Mine is used for any general purpose, but it comes into it's own when I'm working in the garden. My wife has her own. My sons have their own. Easy to keep clean. Make sure you have a good sharpener then it will always be well honed. The quality of the steel is outstanding.
