My first Shapton Pro stone, I was impressed with the quality of the stone, very solid, smooth and actually very nice looking. Excellent feedback whilst sharpening. The plastic storage case is a very nice touch. I like that they stack. I immediately had very good results on my Euro and Japanese knives, I went on to buy the 6000 grit Shapton Pro for polishing which also works extremely well.

Best price on web Great communication and fast delivery. Brilliant sharpener. Splash and go. Sharpened a big old cheap stainless steel kitchen knife for practice before using it on my Japanese knives. The old knife is razor sharp and glides through paper now. Shapton are quite expensive but well worth the money if you want sharp knives.
