Very nice Swiss army knife!great quality as always from Victorinox,i love them!spares, i'e tweezers,toothpick etc readily available on line,i lost my toothpick & within a couple of days a new one arrived.
This is a Christmas gift for my son in law,I have one almost identical  as an everyday carry as a truck driver!i have had it almost 15 years!
You won't be disappdisappointed! 

This is a great product - high quality and a great all round pocket knife. 
However, I understand that it does classify as an offensive weapon if carried in a public place in England. So I would advise caution if you think you may be subjected to a metal detector or frisk search.

Un très bon couteau avec un verrouillage efficace de la lame, une coupe rasoir (testée sur une feuille de papier) et un aiguisage facile!
C'est du Victorinox ! Je suis un inconditionnel de cette marque à un coup relativement intéressant au vu de la qualité toujours au rendez-vous !
La livraison à été plus longue que d'habitude mais la qualité de l'emballage est toujours au top!

Een prachtig robuust Zwitsers zakmes.

Aanvankelijk was ik op zoek naar één mes met alle functies, maar daar heb ik uiteindelijk van af gezien omdat je dan een dik ding krijgt dat totaal niet praktisch is en in de la blijft liggen. Dus heb ik gekozen voor twee messen: één zo klein mogelijke voor alle dagen (de Compact) en één voor als ik outdoor ga, met daarin de extra functies die ik eigenlijk alleen dán nodig heb. Ook voor mijn outdoor-mes wilde ik een zo dun mogelijk mes overhouden, vandaar dat ik heb geprobeerd te zorgen voor zo min mogelijk overlap tussen beide messen. Immers, als ik ga kamperen heb ik de Compact waarschijnlijk ook wel bij me.

Afijn, een outdoor-mes dus. Voor het grovere werk, vandaar dat ik een mes zocht met een wat groter formaat, met blokkering van het mes, een priem en een houtzaag. Een kruiskop-schroevendraaier in plaats van een kurkentrekker, want de kurkentrekker heb ik al op mijn Compact. 

Met deze eisen kwam er eigenlijk maar één mes in aanmerking, en dat is de Trailmaster (elders op de wereld bekend als de Trekker).

Het mes bevalt uitstekend. Het voelt allemaal super stevig aan, het mes zit rotsvast in de blokkering, nergens noemenswaardige speling op de verschillende onderdelen van het mes. Het vermelden is waard dat naast het mes ook de flessenopener met grote platte schroevendraaier een blokkering heeft. Nu zullen bierflesjes in de regel niet zo strak dicht zitten dat een blokkering op de flesopener gewenst is, maar ik vermoed dat de blokkering is toegevoegd om het mogelijk te maken met de schroevendraaier te kunnen wrikken. Dat zou ook verklaren waarom deze tool extra dik lijkt te zijn uitgevoerd (hij is dikker dan de blikopener namelijk).

Het zaagblad bevatte af-fabriek veel braampjes, niet te verwarren met de vruchten uiteraard. Deze laten los als je met je vingers langs de zaag gaat. Om de voorkomen dat je straks allemaal flintertjes metaal in je broekzak hebt zitten (of erger: dat deze splitertjes tussen de scharnieren van het zakmes komen te zitten), raad ik aan om direct na de aankoop ergens een stukje hout te vinden en even een stukje te zagen. De braampjes laten dan los en je houdt een keurig strak zaagblad over dat geen flintertjes metaal meer verliest!
