The **CRKT Homefront Compact Black K245KKP Black DLC CPM S35VN, Black G10** is the compact and premium version of CRKT's well-known Homefront, designed by Ken Onion. This smaller version has a shorter blade and a traditional flipper without the assisted opening. The patented Field Strip Technology that makes the original CRKT Homefront unique has given way to a standard pocket knife design, which is slightly more user-friendly.



## Blade Made of CPM S35VN Steel
The blade of this CRKT Homefront is made from CPM S35VN steel. This is a premium stainless steel produced by Crucible Industries in the United States. S35VN retains its sharpness well, is quite tough and offers good corrosion resistance. CPM S35VN was developed as a successor to CPM S30V, in collaboration with world-renowned knife maker Chris Reeve.



The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It's a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



## G10 handle

The CRKT Homefront Compact Black K245KKP Black DLC CPM S35VN, Black G10, pocket knife, Ken Onion design features a handle made from G10 and measures 9.9 cm in length. G10 is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. With its subtle texture, G10 feels great in hand and offers plenty of grip. Moreover, it is incredibly strong, so it can take a beating.



## Designed by Ken Onion
This CRKT was designed by knife maker Ken Onion, an innovative tinkerer who, from Hawaii, delights the world with all his inventions. He has dozens of knife patents to his name such as the SpeedSafe assisted opening, Field Strip technology and KVT ball bearings. He collaborates with major knife brands such as Kershaw, Zero Tolerance and CRKT, among others. He also likes to show off his sharpening skills.
