The CRKT HZ4 2924 Black Titanium Nitride SK-5, Black G10 is a smaller version of the CRKT HZ6, designed by James Williams. The knife is an homage to the Hira-Zukuri. Originally a short and classic Japanese sword from the 8th century, this characterizing blade shape was originally used for daggers and short knives. Later also for swords. The CRKT HZ4 is a modern interpretation and beautifully embodies this Japanese classic.

Expectations
Nice design, good price. It’s a knife for piercing and slashing, no pry or force works like batoning. Bladesteel can be maintained easily, the coating is top quality. Overall built up quality is totally fine. Would be nicer to have it with stonewashed blade and coloured micarta version…
