The **Microplane Gourmet grater set** is comprised of a grater and zester. You use the large grater to grate wafer-thin slices of vegetables and potatoes. With the thin zester you grate the skin from citrus fruits, hard cheese, garlic and chocolate. The handle of both the grater and zester feel great in hand. The handle is also a little rougher to make sure it won't slip from your hands during use. The end of the blade of the grater and zester is enhanced with small rubber feet. You place it on your work station to make sure they won't slip during use. The feet also ensure you won't leave behind scratches on your work station.

Both the grater and zester come with a plastic cover. You use the cover to store both. The cover ensures you won't cut yourself when you grab something from the drawer that also contains the grater and zester. At the same time the cover protects the blade of the grater and zester. 

## What do you use the grater set for?

The grater and zester form the perfect set because you can use them to grate both small and large things.

The grater is great when grating larger ingredients into perfect, wafer-thin slices. You use the grater for, for instance, cucumbers, potatoes, radishes, courgette, aubergine and much more.

The zester is great when grating citrus fruits. It has got the perfect depth for grating lemons without ending up with the bitter parts of the lemon. The zester leaves you with thin, soft zest. In addition to citrus fruits you can also use the zester to grate hard cheese, garlic, shallots, ginger and chocolate. 

The blade of the grater and zester is made from top-quality stainless steel. The razor-sharp edges easily cut through both hard and soft food, without it tearing or shredding.

## Maintaining graters

We do not recommend cleaning the grater or zester in the dishwasher. Our tip to keep them sharp is to remove any food from the blades after use. Afterwards rinse it off and allow it to dry. The plastic covers are also not dishwasher proof.

## Microplane gift set

The grater and zester, including plastic covers, are delivered in a nice box. The box also contains a booklet with more information about the products, the Microplane range and a couple delicious recipes. The set is also great as a gift!
