The **Spyderco Bug Black G10 C133GBKP** is a fun little pocket knife that you can take anywhere. Spyderco's micro-sized pocket knives have always been more than just collectibles. Despite their small size, they are fully functional, impressively sharp and, thanks to the distinctive round hole in their blade, much easier to open than knives with traditional ‘nail-nicks’. Traditionally, the Bug, Honeybee and Grasshopper models always came with stainless-steel handles, but now these popular designs are available with G10 scales in three fun colours. The scales offer good grip and are available in black, red or blue. All three versions have razor-sharp, fully flat-ground blades made of Swedish steel.



## Blade made of Sandvik 12C27 steel
The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 steel, a corrosion-resistant steel from Sweden that was specially developed for knives. It is a steel grade that strikes the perfect balance between toughness, ease of sharpening, corrosion resistance and sharpness retention.



The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



## G10 handle

The Spyderco Bug Black G10 C133GBKP keychain pocket knife features a handle made from G10 and measures 4.3 cm in length. G10 is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. With its subtle texture, G10 feels great in hand and offers plenty of grip. Moreover, it is incredibly strong, so it can take a beating.



## Designer Sal Glesser
Sal Glesser is the legendary founder of Spyderco. Together with his wife Gail, he founded this iconic knife brand. He is the inventor of the round thumb hole and many more innovations. ## Spyderco: great pioneer in the world of knives
Spyderco is one of the world's leading knife companies. Many innovations were made by this brand, think of the pocket clip, the thumb hole, a large range of locking mechanisms, but also steel types. It's safe to say the knife world would have looked very different indeed without Spyderco.

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. Interestingly, they didn't start out selling knives. The first product Sal and Gail sold was a soldering tool, which they sold travelling around markets. Then came a sharpening system, causing Sal to start experimenting with pocket knives. In his quest for a knife that was easier to open with one hand, he came up with the idea for a round thumb hole while experimenting. A stroke of pure genius.

Today, the next generation is at the helm of Spyderco. Eric Glesser, the son of Sal and Gail, works hard every day to further establish Spyderco as a leading knife brand.
