The Spyderco Manix 2 XL is the large version of the Manix 2. It is a large knife enhanced with a so-called Ball Bearing Lock. It contains a freely moving ball in a plastic 'cage'. This ball is locked in a plastic 'cage' and blocks the knife. Because of that same function it will continue to block the knife.

Very pleased with this folder ultra sharp out of the box, good steel very solid snappy and safe lock.Great utility knife slicy but tuff, very good ergonomically, easy to open and close one handed no imperfections at wall.Great service from Knives and Tools, bye:)
