With the **Spyderco Temperance CPM Cru-Wear FB05SGY Gray FRN, Sprint Run 2024**, designed by Spyderco's co-founder Sal Glesser, the Temperance returns as a limited edition for this Sprint Run. This fixed knife features a grey FRN handle and flat-grind blade made of CPM CRU-WEAR steel which excels in toughness and wear resistance. Like the original, the knife's ergonomic handle is injected directly onto the tang of the blade and features a series of ‘dimples’ that improve grip and provide pivot points for grip changes. A nice detail is the Sal Glesser logo embedded in one of the dimples. This reissue of the Temperance comes with a custom-made Boltaron sheath and a versatile G-Clip belt clip.




The blade of the Spyderco Temperance CPM Cru-Wear FB05SGY Gray FRN, Sprint Run 2024 serrated fixed knife measures 12.4 cm in length and 4 mm in thickness. The total length is 24.5 cm.



## Blade made of CPM CruWear steel
The blade of this Spyderco  is made of CPM CruWear steel. This is a tool steel known for its strength and sharpness retention. In fact, CruWear retains its edge so well that you will rarely need to sharpen it. You do need to be a bit careful with moisture and acids, however, as CPM CruWear is not entirely stainless. A quick clean after use and an occasional drop of oil will keep this knife in top condition.

Sal Glesser is the legendary founder of Spyderco. Together with his wife Gail, he founded this iconic knife brand. He is the inventor of the round thumb hole and many more innovations. ## Spyderco: great pioneer in the world of knives

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. Interestingly, they didn't start out selling knives. The first product Sal and Gail sold was a soldering tool, which they sold travelling around markets. Then came a sharpening system, causing Sal to start experimenting with pocket knives. In his quest for a knife that was easier to open with one hand, he came up with the idea for a round thumb hole while experimenting. A stroke of pure genius.

Today, the next generation is at the helm of Spyderco. Eric Glesser, the son of Sal and Gail, works hard every day to further establish Spyderco as a leading knife brand.
