Has your endless search for the right chef's knife become dull?

The **Wüsthof Classic Ikon chef's knife, 16 cm** is perfect for the smaller tasks in the kitchen. Because of the small blade you have a little more control as you cut, for instance, spring onions or a clove of garlic, than when you use a large chef's knife.

## The blade


Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method, and polished by hand. This type of steel is also easy to sharpen.


Another advantage of this blade is the crop. It doesn’t extend all the way to the edge, but does separate the handle from the blade. As such you not only keep your fingers safe, you can also use the entire edge. Also great when you want to sharpen the knife.


## The handle


The handle is made from rock-solid POM. This is a shock, heat and acid proof material you can easily clean. Perfect for kitchen knives. The steel of the blade seamlessly merges with the handle. This is not only a rock-solid connection, it also provides great balance. Combined with the ergonomic shape this knife feels amazing in hand.

In only a short amount of time the Wüsthof Classic Ikon collection grew out to become one of Wüsthof’s most popular collections. Not surprising as these knives perfectly combine classic and modern elements. Super goed mes, nu maar hopen dat deze beter bestand is tegen jongens die niet nadenken en het mes heel blijft. Maar een heel mooi mes waar we heel blij mee zijn

Top kwaliteit. Vormgeving. Handig in balans bij gebruik. Is een must have in de keuken.  Voor mij een mooie aanvulling op de messen die reeds bezit van deze Ikon reeks. Een aanrader. Zeker kopen.

Uitstekende service van Knives and Tools!
Gereedschap zoals verwacht, keurig en scheerscherp afgeleverd. En goed gereedschap is nu eenmaal prijzig maar gaat lang mee; dit is, ook dankzij dikke kortingen, onderdeel van de vervanging van mijn oude Wüsthof privé setje van... 35 jaar geleden en dat was toen al afgeschreven in een instellingskeuken. Wel valt mij op dat de Wüsthof spullen verfijnder zijn geworden, lichtere lemmeten, betere balans.

Gewoon een heel goed produkt. Heb al diverse messen uit deze serie, wilde een wat kleiner koksmes hebben, dus de keus was vrij snel gemaakt.

Voor mijn vrouw gekocht. Meteen laten graveren. Snel geleverd zonder vertraging ondanks de gravure. Mes is erg mooi en scherp. Voelt erg goed in de hand.Ze is erg blij met het mes en de gravure.

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
