CRKT Squid pocket knife: reliable, robust and remarkably capable
The CRKT Squid models are compact and sturdy pocket knives designed by Lucas Burnley. This is a knife that won't scare anyone. The size is modest and the drop-point blade looks very friendly. But don't let it mislead you: this knife can handle its own. The solid frame lock ensures the blade stays in place when opened. The deep-carry pocket clip ensures that the knife will never fall from your pocket.
Features of the CRKT Squid series
Different versions
The CRKT Squid series consists of several models. There's the original Squid, the larger Squid XM, the Squid Assisted and the Squid Compact. The XM stands for Extra Medium and has a longer blade and handle length. The Squid Assisted has a spring that gives the blade an extra push as soon as you open it with the thumb stud or flipper. And the Squid Compact is the most compact version.
CRKT Squid handle
The CRKT Squid is available in a complete stainless steel handle or with coloured G10 handle scales. Each Squid has a complete stainless steel side with a very sturdy frame lock. On the back of the handle is a cord eye where you can tie a piece of paracord, for example.
CRKT Squid steel type
For the drop-point blade, CRKT and Lucas Burnley have chosen robust steels such as D2 and 8Cr14MoV. These strong steels are easy to sharpen. You easily open the blade one-handed thanks to the thumb stud or the flipper.
